Diamond blade 230 mm — for large angle grinders, from the manufacturer
Deep cutting of concrete, reinforced concrete, granite and stone with a 230 mm angle grinder. Segmented, turbo and continuous blades, 22.23 mm bore, up to 6,600 rpm. Standard, Profi and Extreme series under the NovoTools and WellCut brands.
When you need a 230 mm diamond blade
A 230 mm blade goes on large angle grinders of 2000–2600 W when the cutting depth of a 125 mm blade (about 30 mm) is not enough: chases for services, openings in walls and slabs, cutting kerbs, paving and blocks. The cutting depth of a new blade is about 65–70 mm depending on the guard and flange.
A 230 mm grinder runs slower (up to 6,600 rpm), while the rim speed is the same as for a 125 mm blade — 80 m/s — so the segments work in their normal regime without overheating.
Which rim type to choose
| Rim type | Material | Cutting | Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Segmental | Concrete, reinforced concrete, brick, blocks | Dry | Best cooling and dust clearance on deep cuts |
| Turbo | Granite, stone, concrete, paving | Dry or wet | Fast and smoother cut, less chipping on granite |
| Solid | Tile, porcelain stoneware, marble | Wet | Clean edge; for stationary 230 mm tile saws |
Series and brands
The 230 mm diamond blades in the NovoAbrasive range are produced under the NovoTools and WellCut brands. Standard— occasional household jobs; Profi— construction crews, daily cutting of concrete and brick; Extreme— reinforced concrete, granite and porcelain stoneware with maximum segment life.

Safety with a 230 mm blade
- Hold the grinder with both hands using the side handle: if a 230 mm blade jams, the kickback is far stronger than with a 125 mm one.
- Cut straight, without tilting or side pressure — the diamond core is not designed for bending.
- Never fit a 230 mm blade on a smaller grinder: the guard will not cover the blade and the speed will exceed the limit.
- On deep cuts make several passes of 20–25 mm instead of one full-depth pass — this keeps the segments from overheating.
