Diamond blade 125 mm — for angle grinders, from the manufacturer
Three rim types — segmented, turbo and continuous — for concrete, brick, granite, marble and tile. 22.23 mm bore, up to 12,200 rpm. Standard, Profi and Extreme series under the NovoTools and WellCut brands.
Which 125 mm diamond blade to choose
| Rim type | Material | Cutting | Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Segmental | Concrete, reinforced concrete, brick, stone | Dry | Gaps between segments cool the blade and clear dust; fastest cutting, rougher edge |
| Turbo | Concrete, granite, stone, brick | Dry | Wavy continuous rim: the speed of a segmented blade with a cleaner cut |
| Solid | Tile, porcelain stoneware, marble, glass | Wet | Smooth chip-free edge; needs water for cooling |
Rule: the harder and more brittle the material, the fewer chips a continuous rim gives; for reinforced concrete and stone take a segmented or turbo rim.
Series and brands
The diamond blades in the NovoAbrasive range are produced under the NovoTools and WellCut brands in three series. Standard— household jobs and occasional use. Profi— construction crews and tradesmen: taller segment, stable life. Extreme— reinforced concrete, granite and porcelain stoneware with maximum life.
Industrial-grade synthetic diamonds are held in the metal bond of the segment; the core is hardened steel with expansion slots that relieve stress when heated.

Dry or wet cutting
Dry cutting with an angle grinder — for concrete, brick and stone with a segmented or turbo blade: cut in short passes of 20–30 seconds and let the blade cool at idle so the segments do not overheat.
Wet cutting— for tile, porcelain stoneware and marble with a continuous blade on a tile cutter with water feed: water cools the rim, binds the dust and prevents chipping of the glaze. Never use water with an angle grinder — only on a tool designed for wet cutting.
Working tips
- Check the arrow on the blade against the spindle rotation — diamond segments cut in one direction only.
- Do not press on the tool: the blade should cut under the weight of the grinder; extra pressure glazes the segments.
- A dulled blade is “opened” with a few cuts in an abrasive material — sand-lime brick or sandstone.
- Wear goggles and a respirator: concrete and porcelain dust contains quartz.
