Cermet saw blade — wholesale from the manufacturer

The WellCut WSS series — cermet saw blades for cold dry cutting of structural and stainless steel on dry cut saws. Two sizes, 305 and 355 mm, with a 25.4 mm (1") bore. The blade cuts with an edge instead of abrading the metal: the edge comes out free of scale, the workpiece stays cold and sparking is minimal.

What are WellCut WSS saw blades?

A cermet edge withstands a higher temperature than tungsten carbide, so the blade cuts steel dry — with no coolant, no scale and no blue discolouration on the cut. Speeds are low, 1700-2000 rpm, so the blade belongs on a metal cut-off saw, not on a wood mitre saw.

The body has compensation slots against vibration. Kerf 2,6 mm, body thickness 2,0 mm. The teeth can be resharpened. There are no pin holes: the blade is made for metal cut-off saws, not for industrial mitre saws.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about WellCut WSS cermet saw blades for metal

How to choose the number of teeth of a saw blade?
Fewer teeth (24-30) - for fast rough cuts in wood along the grain. More teeth (48-80) - for clean cuts across the grain, laminate, plywood. As a general rule: the more teeth, the cleaner, but slower the cut.
What does a bore mean and how to choose one?
The bore is the diameter of the central hole in the blade. It must exactly match the spindle of your saw. Standard sizes are: 20 mm (cordless saws), 22.23 mm (angle grinder), 30 mm (mitre saws), 32 mm (stationary saws). Adapter rings are available for adaptation.
How long does a saw blade last?
The resource depends on the material being sawn and the intensity of use. Carbide discs can be resharpened 3-5 times. Signs of wear: burning of wood, increased feed force, uneven cut. Do not use a dull disc - it is dangerous.
What rotation speed should I choose for the saw blade?
The maximum permissible speed is indicated on each disc. Never exceed this speed. For 185-190 mm discs it is usually 7000-8000 rpm, for 250 mm - 5000-6000 rpm, for 300 mm - 4000-5000 rpm. Smaller diameter = higher permissible revolutions.
