What are Velcro discs NovoAbrasive
NovoAbrasive Velcro wheels are sanding discs with a Velcro (hook & loop) fabric backing. Designed for finishing, sanding putty, varnish, wood and metal. Quick replacement without additional tools.
Grits from P40 to P800 for any finishing stage. Diameters 125 and 150 mm. Suitable for random orbital sanders and Velcro-mounted sanders.

P80–P320 for preparing the wood surface before painting or varnishing. Gradual reduction in grit size gives a perfectly smooth surface.
Paint and varnish removal

Answers to the most common questions about self-locking wheels
What is a Velcro disc and how is it attached?
The self-adhering wheel has a fleece backing (Hook & Loop / Velcro) that attaches to the sander's backing plate. This allows you to quickly change wheels without additional tools. Simply press the wheel onto the plate and it will lock securely.
What grit should I choose for sanding wood?
For rough sanding and removing old coating use P40–P80. For intermediate sanding – P100–P120. For finishing before painting or varnishing – P180–P320. It is recommended to work gradually, increasing the grit.
Why are holes in a grinding wheel needed?
The holes (8 pieces) are designed for effective dust removal during operation. The dust passes through the holes into the sander's dust extraction system. This extends the wheel's service life, improves the quality of sanding, and reduces air pollution.
How do self-locking wheels differ from PSA (self-adhesive) wheels?
Hook & Loop (Velcro) discs can be removed and reattached to the backing pad multiple times. PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) discs have an adhesive backing and are designed for one-time attachment. Velcro discs are more convenient when changing grits frequently.
What diameter of disc should I choose?
The diameter depends on your sander: 115 mm - for compact random orbital sanders, 125 mm - the most popular size for household and professional machines, 150 mm - for professional machines with a larger processing area, 225 mm - for ceiling sanders (sanding walls and ceilings).
Can I use it without a dust collector?
Technically possible, but not recommended. Without a dust collector, the abrasive surface quickly becomes clogged with dust, which reduces the grinding efficiency and shortens the wheel's lifespan. It is also harmful to health - fine dust gets into the lungs.
How many wheels are needed to sand one square meter?
This depends on the material, surface condition and grain. On average, one P80 wheel is used for 1–3 m² of wood. For putty, the consumption is higher - one wheel for 0.5–1.5 m². We recommend having a stock of wheels of different grain sizes.
How to store grinding wheels?
Store the wheels in a dry place at room temperature, in the original packaging. Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity, which can damage the abrasive coating and adhesive base. With proper storage, the shelf life is up to 3 years.
