Each product goes through 9 stages of testing. We do not release products that do not meet EN 12413 standards.
Testing according to oSa standards
oSa (Organisation for the Safety of Abrasives) is an international organisation that sets safety standards for abrasive tools. The oSa methodology includes a set of tests that ensure the safety of abrasive discs when operating at maximum speeds.
NovoAbrasive has its own certified equipment to conduct all necessary tests according to oSa protocols:
Testing each batch at speeds well above maximum operating speed (RPM). Confirms the structural integrity and safety of the abrasive disc.
Checking the resistance of the disc to lateral forces that simulate real working conditions. Guarantees operator safety in the event of uneven pressure.
Each batch of products has a unique traceability code. All test results are stored and available for audit in accordance with oSa requirements.
9 stages of quality control

Incoming control of raw materials
Fractional and chemical analysis of abrasive grain, checking of phenol-formaldehyde resin parameters. Raw materials exclusively from leading suppliers in Austria and Germany - each batch undergoes incoming control before being admitted to production.

Mixture control
Moisture control, precise component weighing and laboratory analysis of the mix composition. Ensuring the correct proportions of abrasive grain and bond for consistent quality in every batch.

Formation control
Measurement of weight, thickness, diameter and balance of each product after pressing. Verification of compliance with dimensional tolerances and uniformity of abrasive material distribution.

Heat treatment control
Monitoring temperature profiles in industrial furnaces to ensure proper bakelization. Controlling heating rate, holding time and cooling for optimal bond strength.

Side load test
The side load test checks the resistance of the disc to lateral forces that simulate real-world operating conditions. It ensures operator safety when applying uneven pressure to the tool.

Burst test
Tested at maximum speed to confirm safety and compliance with EN 12413. Peripheral speed up to 80 m/s. The equipment meets the standards of the MPA Hannover laboratory.

Visual inspection
Checking of labeling, packaging and safety pictograms according to EN 12413. Checking the geometry, surface and absence of visible defects of each product before moving to the next stage.

Sound index
The acoustic method of controlling the hardness of abrasive discs makes it possible to determine whether the recipe adopted for this designation is being followed.

Cut quality - control cuts
A sample is selected from each batch for control cuts on an automatic line - final confirmation of cutting characteristics, speed and cleanliness of the cut before sending to the client.
International standards
German safety certification for abrasive tools. NovoAbrasive is the only certified manufacturer in Ukraine. Certification since 2015.
